Culturas & Clichés
Culturas & Clichés is an encounter between mexican and french culture, that took place in the French Alliance in Guanajuato.
The projects trys to approach national stereotypes, in order to break them and recover individual identities, as well as remembering some great characters from frech culture that lived and develop some of his work in Mexico.
By mixing Napoleon Bonapartes classical image with a mexican drug leader, we talk about the moment our country is living. The rooster, national symbol of france is used to simulate”typical” mexican customs.
The stencils are a tribute to Blek LeRat, artist that became famous for covering Paris with rats during the 1990´s.
Culturas & Clichés is the crossbreed between humor and critique.
